What it does

Marula butter, sunflower fatty acids, and panthenol penetrate to replenish and seal in moisture while a fortifying blend of hydration-boosting and hair-smoothing agents restores shine and touchability to even the most unmanageable, extra-dry, or damaged hair.

This super-nourishing cream formula infuses strands with a concentrated blend of silk amino acids and proteins to rebuild bonds, strengthening and smoothing the hair shaft and giving hair the ultimate body, bounce, and shine.

Since Silkamino™ Mega-Moisturizing Masker doesn’t contain silicones, its nutrient-rich formula just needs a little bit of time to penetrate, but it is super concentrated, and a little goes a long way. At a barrier-supportive acidic pH of 4.3, Silkamino™ Mega-Moisturizing Masker nourishes without disrupting the scalp’s delicate acid mantle.

How to use

After cleansing hair with the Drunk Elephant shampoo of your choice, apply a small amount of Silkamino™ Masker, starting at the ends and working up to the roots. Wait 1-3 minutes and rinse well. For a deeper weekly treatment, apply a generous amount, comb through to disperse evenly, and wait 20-30 minutes before rinsing.

Ingredients

Hydrolyzed Silk: Conditioning protein that works by filling in “cracks” in the hair shaft, temporarily smoothing damaged hair in between shampoos.

Silk Amino Acids: Softening amino acids derived from silk that help to add strength, improve manageability, and give hair a healthier appearance.

Silk Sericin: Component of silk protein that has a temporary bonding effect on damaged hair, smoothing the shaft and improving manageability in between shampoos.

Sunflower Fatty Acids: Super-moisturizing sunflower-derived fatty acids that condition, add shine, and help offset the damage done by heat styling.

Marula Butter: A super-pure concentrated butter derived from marula oil, and rich in antioxidant polyphenols, lipids, and fatty acids, that deeply moisturizes both skin and hair.

Virgin Marula Oil: This super-absorbable oil, high in critical antioxidants and omegas 6 and 9, helps moisturize, add shine, and smooth the hair shaft.

Panthenol: A powerful humectant that boosts the water content of the hair shaft and helps prevent dehydration.

Vanilla Planifolia Fruit Extract: Derived from the seed of the vanilla plant. Vanilla fruit is used for its powerful concentration of free-radical-fighting polyphenols, as well as for its soothing benefits. The seeds of the vanilla plant have a mild, naturally sweet scent.

Diheptyl Succinate: Naturally derived silicone substitute that smooths the hair shaft while adding shine and fighting frizz.
