Skincare for Pregnant and Nursing Women

Well, first of all, congratulations! We’re so happy for you!

OK, let’s get down to brass tacks. Just like there are certain foods you shouldn’t eat while you’re pregnant or nursing, there are certain ingredients you should avoid because their effects are unknown.

Everything in the Drunk Elephant line is safe for pregnant or nursing women with two exceptions: We suggest avoiding A-Passioni and A-Gloei (due to its retinol) and Babyfacial (due to its 2% salicylic acid content). Though a 2% concentration of salicylic acid is not known to be harmful during pregnancy or while nursing, we always fall on the side of a better-safe-than-sorry approach.

And of course, we always recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before you add any new products to your routine.

All of that said, we hope you are one of those people who will be blessed with a lovely, natural pregnancy glow. But if not, we’ve got you covered with a skincare regimen that will keep you radiant before, during, and after the arrival of your beautiful baby. And once again, congratulations!
